Hace unos meses atrás hemos estado al volante de la última generación del Opel Astra Sport Tourer, la versión familiar del Astra, ahora hemos querido enfocar una nueva prueba a la versión diesel de 160cv BiTurbo de la gama Astra ST, estamos al volante del Opel Astra ST BiTurbo 2017

Sin mayor problema el Astra ST te ofrece un buen habitáculo interior con espacios bien aprovechados y comodidad en todo momento, además su equipamiento le hacen ser un duro rival ante sus competidores, el nuevo diseño de esta generación atrae mucho público que antes podría no gustar un coche con aires tan familiares, en cambio el Astra ST ofrece una línea más moderna y atractiva.

En la actual generación del Astra sólo encontramos buenos acabados y detalles en sus materiales muy bien rematados, no estamos ante un coche premium pero que si bien es cierto no queda muy desfasado con respecto a la media del segmento. Esta unidad nos trae los asientos AGR anti-estrés como le denomina la marca del rayo que ofrecen mayor confort en los asientos delanteros.

El espacio interior en conjunto con el del maletero le hacen ser un modelo muy digno de pertenecer al segmento familiar, quizás no sea el más vendido, pero si que está dentro de los primeros en opción a una posible compra.

El comportamiento del Astra ST es muy correcto, su balanceo se justifica por sus dimensiones pero que no llegan a ser algo alarmante en lo absoluto, tiene un buen trazado de curva además de un buen sistema de frenado que apenas se puede sentir algún tipo de fatiga.

El motor 1.6 CDTi de 160cv BiTurbo es de lo más impecable que hemos probado en el Astra, es un complemento ideal para devorar kilómetros por autovía y con mucha diversión, no llega ser un coche deportivo al 100% porque tampoco se busca eso en este coche, pero una buen disfrute de la conducción la tendrás asegurada.

En consumos con medias por lo alto de 7,1 l/100 kms y por conducción normal mixta unos 6,2 l/100kms para un motor con estas especificaciones vemos muy correctas estos datos de los consumos, si realmente no te importa la potencia allí si te recomiendo optar por una motorización más baja en fuerza.

Esta unidad equipa muchos extras como los IntelliLux de Opel que tienen un funcionamiento increíble, además incorpora los asientos AGR con masaje y climatización, sistema de portón de maletero manos libres, llantas 18″ bitono, asientos tapizados en cuero, entre otros equipamientos que vienen de serie por ser el acabado Dynamic, aunque pareciera ser el Excellence (aún tenemos esa duda con la marca cuando nos han dejado el coche).

Los materiales en sensaciones tanto al tacto como a la vista están bien, respira una buena armonía sin destacar por ser premium pero mucho menos de ser de mala calidad, todo lo contrario hay un buen salto de acabados generales con respecto a la generación anterior.

El mundo de los coches familiares está muy revuelto, porque con la llegada de los SUV que ahora mismo los hay en todo tipo de empaque desde los más pequeños hasta grandes cada vez más estos rancheras lo tienen más difícil, pero si tengo algo claro que la mayoría de quienes les gusta este tipo de coche no se cambiará tan fácilmente y es allí donde el ASTRA ST por ejemplo puede ser un candidato muy válido, además esta motorización va resultar ser una opción potente sin exageraciones y con un consumo adecuado.
