En esta ocasión hemos tenido el placer de probar lo que es ya un habitual en nuestras carretera, un coche que año tras año desde su creación allá por 2007 ha ido ganándose la confianza de Europa y se ha ido convirtiendo en un rival a batir en el segmento de compactos generalistas.
El Kia Ceed llegó en 2018 con un aire completamente nuevo y rediseñado para convencer, más si cabe, a un público cada vez más amplio.
La unidad de prueba cuenta con un bloque tricilíndrico 1.0 TGdi ya conocido de generación anterior y una calidad de acabados de la que muchos afirman ser las más aparente de entre sus rivales, conozcamos más de este surcoreano.
Su exterior nos avanza un interior plagado de detalles de calidad y un espacio muy bien aprovechado
La silueta rebosa estilo y sencillez, con líneas poco marcadas han conseguido crear un coche elegante gracias a sus acertados cromados y una línea de techo prolongada de carácter descendente que a muchos nos puede recordar a un “shooting brake”.
Su carrocería ha ganado volumen, ahora es más largo, como mandan los cánones actuales y cuenta con un mayor espacio en el habitáculo.

Dónde no ha ganado mucho es en huecos portaobjetos ya que la generación anterior contaba con espacio de sobra para ello.
en cuanto al confort, sus asientos recogen bien el cuerpo pero con comodidad y estilo, su tapizado es suave y sencillo.
El espacio para las plazas traseras ha aumentado ayudado por el crecimiento de su batalla, ahora tenemos más hueco para las piernas y también notamos algo más de espacio en los hombros en un viaje con tres ocupantes.
Por último, otro de los beneficiario del aumento de cotas es el maletero, que además de tener una boca de carga algo más práctica ha aumentado su volumen hasta rondar casi los 400 litros, lo que le sitúa en la media del segmento para el próximo año.

Kia sabe cuál es su público con este compacto y lo ha dotado con un tarado de suspensiones algo “deportivo” con dureza ligeramente marcada y con un perfil de neumáticos que si bien no es bajo, sí le otorga otro plus de dinamismo.
El interior cuenta con más porcentaje de plásticos blandos y además con una disposición en la que se puede disfrutar más. Su diseño nos recuerda a otros modelos de la marca y se nota la aspiración de la marca a convertirse en el escalón definitivo entre el mundo generalista y el premium.
En el aspecto tecnológico cuenta con control de crucero, sensores de lluvia, luces automáticas, asistente de aparcamiento, navegador, pantalla multimedia de siete u ocho pulgadas (dependiendo del acabado) y todo tipo de conectividad (Bluetooth, USB, Android Auto o Apple Car Play)
