Hace unos meses tuvimos en nuestro garaje un berlina coreano híbrido que nos ofreció un confort y consumos muy redondos el Kia Optima PHEV , no obstante como sabéis siempre estamos inquietos en buscar alternativas, competidores de cada modelo que probamos y en este caso hemos podido conseguir ponernos al volante del Volkswagen Passat GTE 2017.

El Passat GTE se comercializa en España con dos variantes, berlina y familiar. En esta oportunidad nos han cedido la versión berlina que realmente nos da algo igual porque la diferencia radica prácticamente en su capacidad interior de maletero y diseño posterior, así que para poder lograr comprender más este mundo de los híbridos con carrocería berlina media.

Un interior sobrio y muy elegante, nada para sorprenderse porque seguimos ante un Volkswagen Passat que desde su lanzamiento ha dejado claro que a pesar de continuar con un diseño vanguardista ofrece una calidad premium y muy confortable.

En este caso  el Passat GTE ofrece todo lo anterior mencionado pero con una clara visión más tecnológica porque estamos ante la versión híbrida, la unidad que probamos incluye el cuadro Volkswagen Digital Cockpit y el sistema central con navegación especial e infoentretenimiento.

Interior cómodo para 5 ocupantes, la plaza central de la banqueta trasera la que menos pero aún así ofrece una buena habitabilidad, su maletero tiene una buena dimensión y sus formas son muy aprovechables, además contamos con un doble fondo que por ejemplo se puede usar para guardar los cables de carga y así evitar que vayan en el maletero de lado a lado.

El Passat GTE ofrece un confort de marcha envidiable para muchos berlinas, además al tener una motorización eléctrica y otra gasolina ofrece una potencia increíble (156 cv TSi + 115 cv eléctrico = 271cv), una potencia que sólo podrás obtener en pleno con la selección GTE ubicada en la consola central, en caso contrario el coche va equilibrando sus prestaciones en pro del consumo y confort de marcha.

El puesto de conducción es correcta y muy cómoda, la instrumentación digital es clara además de completa. El trazado de curva es típico de un berlina de estas dimensiones, aplomado y con cierto espiritu de dinamismo, al menos en el modo GTE sientes ese empuje que sólo un coche eléctrico te puede ofrecer y que en este Passat se acerca mucho.

La unidad que tenemos en nuestra prueba ya trae consigo el paquete promocional que ofrece la marca por la compra de un Passat GTE a día de hoy,  que incluye:

Los acabados son excelentes porque tanto materiales como sus combinaciones crean una armonía tanto interior como exterior claramente de un coche totalmente premium. El coche gira cabezas por donde pasa, especialmente de personas mayores a 45 años porque su diseño enfoca a ese público en general por ser más vanguardista que otros modelos como el coreano que comentamos al inicio de esta prueba, que arriesga por un diseño más rompedor y atrevido.

Cuando probé el Kia Optima PHEV 2017 estaba claro que el futuro más cercano para la posible electrificación o “muerte de coches a combustión” es pasar por los coches híbridos, que ofrecen sistemas autocargadores “híbridos” o con sistema enchufable “PHEV” con esta opción podrás administrar tu carga de batería al 100% porque además ofrece elegir si puedes llevarlo en modo 100% eléctrico  en trayectos que te permita su autonomía en el caso del GTE unos 52 kms, no obstante la opción híbrida es mejor la del coreano porque en el Passat nos ha pasado que sin darnos cuenta nos fundimos la batería y sin ir en una conducción extrema, así que la administración de este modo híbrido está aún por afinar. En todo momento si deseas pasarte poco a poco a estas alternativas sostenibles el Passat GTE puede resultar una opción, pero te invito a ver otras opciones como el Optima PHEV, eso si no te importa el diseño rompedor y atrevido del coreano.
