La Extreme-E es un campeonato de vehículos off-road eléctricos, que disputará etapas por los parajes más extremos del planeta como Senegal, Nepal, Groenlandia, Brasil y Arabia Saudí.

Sin duda alguna, esta competición será idónea para la imagen de marca de Cupra, sus SUV’s y sus vehículos eléctricos que estan por llegar.
Además, Cupra también participará en la Pure ETCR, el campeonato de turismos eléctricos con el Cupra León.
ABT lleva varios años participando junto a Audi en la Fórmula E, campeonato creado por Alejandro Agag, al igual que la Extreme-E, donde ganaron el título de constructores en la temporada 2017-18.

El doble campeón del DTM, y piloto de Audi en el World Rallycross, donde también fue campeón en 2016.
Aún no se sabe quién le acompañará en esta aventura, pero según el reglamento, el equipo debe estar formado por un hombre y una mujer, por lo que su compañero de equipo será una mujer.
