El naranja por bandera y una manera diferente de entender el motociclismo.

Toda una supermoto que llegó a alcanzar 75 cv de potencia con un cilindro de 690 centímetros cúbicos y un peso que superaba levemente los 160 kg.
Esa esencia se quiso conservar en la KTM Duke 390, 200 y 125 que llegarían a partir de 2010 para dar un golpe en la mesa y ser los modelos mejor valorados de la baja cilindrada gracias a una parte ciclo y elementos propios de motos de mayor nivel.

Pese a ser una moto de tamaño algo reducido su diseño consigue mantener una proporcionalidad que aporte carácter y robustez.

La postura de conducción puede parecer, sobre todo al principio, un tanto extraña pareciendo que nos vamos a subir en el manillar, vamos rectos y levemente adelantados, una postura totalmente streetfighter que en mi opinión nos hace sentir que la moto está bajo nuestro control desde el primer momento.
El asiento carece de un mullido cómodo y grueso que junto a una posición de estriberas bastante retrasadas nos hace llevar una postura poco natural, sin llegar a ser incómoda no nos permitirá hacer excesivos kilómetros por autovía.

Hicimos caso a sus súplicas y visitamos algunos de los puertos de montaña más revirados de la Comunidad de Madrid y el resultado fue… Una sonrisa de oreja a oreja.
El paso de salir de la ciudad nos hace cambiar el chip ya que en la urbe sentimos que llevamos una 125 debido a las sensaciones de ligereza que otorga, pero en cuanto hacemos la primera incorporación a carretera exigiendo al motor vemos que responde como un tiro, el cuentavueltas no para de subir y con ritmo endiablado. ¡Siento que me han dado 20 cv más! Hasta las 9.000 vueltas la moto da fuerza sin rechistar y lo único que nos incomoda es el aire que nos tragamos… ¡Malditas naked! Tendríamos que buscar una carretera secundaria adecuada para ver de qué es capaz la pequeña austriaca.

Otra de las ventajas del monocilindrico es que aunque estrujemos el motor más de lo debido no tendremos sustos en el consumo, subiendo como mucho a 4 litros a los 100 kilómetros.

Tiene una velocidad punta muy por encima de lo permitido y una aceleración con la que poder plantar cara a cualquier moto de 70 cv y a un precio asequible.
Por lo tanto es un modelo muy a tener en cuenta si no tenemos la necesidad de tener en el garaje tropecientos mil caballos para no sacarles partido.
