Tras el éxito de la C600 desde su estreno en 2010 llega un nuevo concepto urbanita más orientado a la eficiencia y el confort de marcha desde el minimalismo y las cotas reducidas para obtener mayor ventaja en la ciudad.

Más funcional que la C400X y con más equipamiento, la C400 GT es una moto completo tanto para uso urbano como para carretera.

La marca alemana estrena este modelo para cubrir el mercado y hacer frente a modelo como XMax 400 de Yamaha o Suzuki Burgman. 

Como buena alemana el catálogo de equipamiento es muy amplio, eso sí, tendremos que pagar casi por todo aquello que nos llame la atención.

De serie, la GT equipa iluminación Full led, sistema keyless con contacto por botón, asiento específico, pantalla de gran formato o el sistema Flexcase.

El asiento con tapizado muy bien tratado y diseño elegante, puños con grabado de la marca, portamatriculas en rueda, cuadro de instrumentos digital completo y minimalista, llantas de radio y tecnología led en piloto trasero e intermitentes.

Solo carece de sistemas de asistencia a la conducción pero tampoco los esperamos. Es una moto con buena calidad percibida pero sin extravagancias. Cuenta con lo justo y necesario para ir seguros y disfrutar de la conducción.

El ángulo de giro es suficiente para moverse con soltura entre coches y por calles estrechas y aunque bien es cierto que su peso es algo elevado en marcha notaremos un centro de gravedad muy bajo que facilita su movilidad.

A ritmos urbanos el consumo se sitúa cerca de los de los 3,4 litros a los 100 kilómetros.

La suspensión puede incomodar bastante a la hora de sortear resaltos y badenes, es algo más dura de lo esperado y con recorrido corto.

Para la frenada BMW ha optado por doble disco de 265 mm de freno radial con pinza de 4 pistones para la parte delantera y un solo disco de la misma medida con pinza flotante de un pistón para la parte trasera. Ambos con sistema ABS no desconectable.

En movimiento el espacio decrece y tendremos que apañarnos con un espacio algo más justo en el que podremos meter únicamente un casco jet.

Su par motor permite adelantar con decisión y la velocidad máxima se sitúa en unos 140 km/h por lo que mantener una velocidad de crucero será coser y cantar.

A velocidad de autovía el consumo puede que suba un poco respecto al de ciudad pero nunca superará los 4 litros cada 100 kilómetros.

En cuanto a la suspensión aprovecharemos su dureza sobre todo en autovía donde filtrará bien los baches pero no balancea lo más mínimo.
