Toyota España ha hecho entrega de una flota de 50 unidades de Prius+ a la Policía Municipal de Madrid, que utilizará sus nuevos vehículos para labores de patrullaje y seguridad en las calles de la capital. Los agentes que forman parte de la Policía Municipal de Madrid ya tienen a su disposición las nuevas unidades de Prius+, el primer monovolumen híbrido eléctrico del mercado.

Así, además de contar con rotulación específica, en amarillo y azul y con el escudo del Ayuntamiento de Madrid en el capó y las puertas traseras, disponen de puente de luces, kit de detenidos con mampara separadora y compartimentos específicos para material policial en el maletero.
El Ayuntamiento de Madrid se ha decantado por Prius+ como nuevo vehículo para la Policía Municipal por su eficiencia y sostenibilidad medioambiental, dado que, como certifica la Etiqueta ECO de la Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) que discrimina positivamente a todos los híbridos de Toyota, su sistema de propulsión híbrido eléctrico garantiza un bajo nivel de consumo y emisiones y una conducción suave y relajada, pero siempre con la mejor respuesta en caso de demandar toda la potencia.
