Hace un par de años tuvimos la oportunidad de probar el Eclipse Cross poco ha cambiado a nivel estético su cambio está basado en el pack Black Edition que lleva en la versión Kaiteki, ¿qué cambios son?… añadidos en “Black Glossy” en carenado frontal, lips laterales, retrovisores y unas llantas específicas para este acabado.

El Rojo Diamond “metalizado” le va perfecto para esta combinación, otro color que me ha gustado ha sido el Blanco que juega muy bien con el contraste. Las formas del Eclipse Cross muestran el dinamismo desde el frontal con los detalles en cromo DYNAMIC SHIELD, pasamos a un lateral donde el pilar A nos muestra una inclinación que permite luego en el interior tener una buena altura, luego el techo va nuevamente en caída hasta el pilar C donde hay una confluencia atractiva para la zaga del Eclipse Cross.

Una saga que destaca además de unas nervaduras muy dominantes por unas grandes ópticas que bajan desde el pilar C hasta llegar a la mitad del portón donde se unen mediante un elemento “aleron” con formato de óptica que dan un aspecto muy atrevido a la trasera, además de un peso considerable en comparación a otros suv del segmento. 

Como buena noticia tenemos la ausencia de salidas falsas de escape, el paragolpes trasero tiene musculatura y además un difusor para dar deportividad en esta terminación de la saga.

Se ha diseñado el Eclipse Cross utilizando el concepto de eje horizontal. El panel de instrumentos se dispone en una línea horizontal imaginaria que le otorga equilibrio, sensación de calidad y además permite que todo esté al alcance, facilitando al máximo la conducción. Sin dejar a un lado los buenos materiales y ajustes en general. 

El elegante y deportivo interior del Eclipse Cross tiene detalles muy prácticos, como soportes para botellas en la puerta,  soporte para 2 tazas en la consola central, puertos USB y un espacio para tu teléfono que podría perfectamente ser un cargador inalámbrico que ni en opción se puede adquirir.

De los mejores aspectos positivos del Eclipse Cross son sus confortables asientos traseros que pueden reclinarse (en el video se me ha pasado comentarlo) en 9 posiciones distintas y se pueden deslizar hasta 20 cm, ofreciendo en su posición más retrasada el espacio para las piernas más amplio de su categoría. Además, los asientos se pueden abatir de manera asimétrica 60/40 para facilitar con distintas opciones de carga, llegando a ofrecer un volumen del maletero de 485 litros hasta la altura de la bandeja y 1.103 de capacidad máxima con asientos abatidos.

El sistema 4×4 S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) desarrollado inicialmente por Mitsubishi para sus coches de competición, ofrece la mejor estabilidad y comportamiento en las circunstancias más extremas, la rumorosidad en terrenos irregulares aumenta considerablemente debido también al perfil de goma que lleva con las llantas 18″ que son más enfocadas a un uso urbano y de asfalto claramente.

Sin embargo sus 18 cms de altura al suelo como sus ángulos de entrada y salida le hacen ser un SUV muy polivalente, sin llegar a extremos por supuesto, pero algo más de capacidad que muchos de sus competidores fuera del asfalto tiene.

Desde que probamos este Eclipse Cross por el 2018 nos quedo muy buena sensación a nivel general tanto en parado como dinámicamente hablando, esta motorización es impecable y más si sumamos la caja de 8 velocidades, los consumos algo elevados y además de ser muy sensibles al pedal del gas, así que si eres de esos con el pie derecho algo pesado tendrás que acostumbrarte a consumos por arriba de los 9 litros. 

Esta versión Black Edition CCS viene bien equipado, además ofrece unos toques muy diferentes como algo más de personalización, sinceramente los 39.000 € que piden por este coche puede resultar algo alto, pero con promociones y descuentos seguro que pasa a ser un modelo SUV muy interesante de valorar.
